We’re on our way

Our neighbor, Rick was once again kind enough to take us to the airport for our flight to Ft. Lauderdale.  When we booked the trip I thought we would drive to Ft Lauderdale, but Mike decided it would be easier to fly.  That gave us an extra leg on the trip, but easier than driving four hours, especially on the return after traveling for about 15 hours.

All the flights were on time, and the weather was good, so not too many bumps along the way. After catching the plane to Buenos Aires in Atlanta, we settled in for a 9-1/2 hour flight.  I know we both got more sleep on that flight on then we normally  do on the over night flights, but we were still tired when we arrived.

ALL THE PLANNING IS DONE

We have spent five months planning this trip. We booked this trip trough Exoticca, found in one of the Travelzoo emails. Since we are traveling with a tour group, our planning time was much less than in the past. I did have to contact the tour company a number of times for our itineraries and confirmations, but all is finally done and we are packed and ready to head out tomorrow morning.

HEADING TO SOUTH AMERICA

Featured

This will be our first time traveling to South America, and our first time doing a somewhat organized tour. We’ve always enjoyed planning and traveling on our own, but since we are so unfamiliar with South America, we wanted to go with the “experts” I hope you enjoy following along on our trip.
